Government Matched Funding Scheme - 6 October 2008
The UK Government launched its universities Matched Funding Scheme on 1 August 2008. A three year scheme, it is designed to encourage philanthropic support and help build long term participation from donors.

University Scholarship fund launch to transform lives - 30 September 2008
The University of Northampton has launched an ambitious Scholarship Endowment Fund designed to raise £2 million to support and attract the brightest and most talented students to the county.
A special VIP event held at the Pavilion building, Park Campus, on Sunday 28 September, welcomed around 70 guests, who were able to find out more about the University's goals and meet with current and past Scholarship recipients.

The University of Northampton signs 'Santander Universities' agreement - 22 September 2008
The University of Northampton and Abbey National plc, the UK subsidiary of Banco Santander, signed a three-year agreement Friday 19 September to set up support for scholarships, research and international collaboration.
The agreement is designed to provide an improved level of support for students and researchers at The University of Northampton, allowing development of exciting new educational projects under the 'Santander Universities' banner.
