The organising committee is inviting abstracts for conference themed papers, workshops or posters. Abstracts must be relevant to one or more of the conference themes;
- Therapy
- Design
- Living with or without Colour
Abstracts for papers, posters and workshops/project presentations are invited from a variety of disciplines and interests. We welcome contributions of ongoing and completed research, experiential studies, narratives and examples of best practice that inform and contribute to the evidence base regarding how Colour within Health and Arts interact with each other, and how this could be used in the future to enhance the field.
Papers (20 minutes + 10 minutes questions)
Workshops/project presentations (90 minutes)
Posters (90x120cm maximum)
Submitting your abstract
Authors wishing to submit an abstract should complete a single abstract form giving title, and outline of the paper, workshop or poster in no more than 250 words. Please state clearly whether you are submitting an abstract for a themed paper, workshop or poster. One of the authors should be identified as the person for correspondence and should include full contact details. Abstracts are to be written in English, avoiding abbreviations or jargon. Authors should list any potential conflict of interest.
Abstract Submission Details
Deadline for receipt of abstracts: 16 January 2011
Applicants will be notified no later than 16 January 2012 as to whether or not their paper/workshop/poster has been accepted. Those selected to present a paper/workshop/poster are asked to register as a delegate if they wish to attend the conference using the booking form above.
If your abstract is accepted you will still be required to pay a conference fee. All completed abstracts submitted by 16 January 2011 are eligible for early bird conference rate.
Poster Information
Dimensions

Poster boards are 1200mm wide x 900mm high. This space can be used for two sheets (600mm x 900mm) or one large sheet. NB: Posters which exceed these dimensions unfortunately cannot be displayed.
You may find Colin Purrington’s blog post on Designing conference posters helpful.
Materials and Mode of Display
We recommend the use of paper or card (either of which may be laminated). Excessively heavy or rigid materials may not be attachable to the display boards and should be avoided.
Posters will be attached to display boards by means of adhesive Velcro patches. The Velcro tape and the display boards will be provided by the Conference organisers.
Preparation/Printing
It is the responsibility of the person presenting the poster to produce the finished poster: it is not possible for the organisers to print posters on behalf of presenters.
Display
Please bring Posters to registration at 10.30 am on day 1 (or day 2 for delegates attending on 20 April only). Posters will be on display for both days.
To submit your abstract please fill in the online abstract submission form.
